GBTC Finance and Plastiks Partner to Recover 500 kg of Plastic Waste and Fund a Sustainable Roadmap
In a significant step toward sustainability, GBTC Finance, a young, dynamic, and ambitious financial firm, has collaborated with Plastiks, leveraging their technology, traceability, and verification solutions to achieve a shared goal: the recovery of 500 kg of plastic waste—equivalent to 16,500 plastic bottles and 83,000 plastic bags. This partnership highlights GBTC Finance's commitment to making a tangible environmental impact, while Plastiks provides the tools necessary to ensure transparency and accountability in the process.

GBTC Finance is a cryptocurrency exchange that operates both online and through its 22 physical stores across Spain. Plastic Credits and Sustainable Roadmap
Through the 500 plastic credits generated by this initiative, GBTC Finance not only contributed to plastic recovery but also financed a sustainable roadmap. This roadmap, implemented by Leonardo GR, a verified plastic recycling entity, took place on the Playa de Pinedo in Valencia, Spain.
During this project, over 232 kg of various types of waste were collected from the beach, including:
- 10 kg of cardboard
- 5 kg of aluminum cans
- 145 kg of microplastics
- 12 kg of scrap metal
- 60 kg of non-recyclable waste
Thanks to the verification and traceability technology provided by Plastiks, every step of the recovery process was monitored, ensuring the transparency of the results and providing detailed reporting on the environmental impact.
